Architect designed house.
This architect designed modern house occupies a similar volume to its Victorian neighbours but employs prefabricated engineered panels in its construction and has a rain-screen cladding of vertical cedar boards, stained black. The section is arranged in response to the mature gardens that abut the site, with the kitchen and dining area at patio level and the living space on the top floor, where a full-width window looks into the crown of an oak tree. A three-story stairwell cuts through the section and draws light into the lower floor.
